Ebook Starter is slightly different than most other ebook creation software packages.
It has many capabilities which match most others but it also has a couple of features which puts it above its competitors.

Ebook Starter has a WYSIWYG editor. This means that you can type the book in the Ebook Starter software itself and then compile the ebook. It's just like typing it into MS Word.
With other software, you'd have to convert your files into html files first and then import them into the ebook software but with Ebook Starter, it takes that process and rolls it into one.

Ebook Starter also claims many exclusive features but I believe that the exclusivity is not so much anymore. Ebook Starter's security features also leave room for desire. But if it's security you're after, visit the ebook protection section.

Having said that, it remains a smart piece of software and can do a lot more than the majority of junk sold on the Internet.
